Case Success: Assault Charges Dismissed After Critical Witness Investigation

On February 27, 2026, a pending criminal assault case against our client was dismissed in its entirety.

In the State’s official Dismissal of Charges, prosecutors acknowledged that the Defense submitted witness statements obtained by our office that provided alternative perspectives on the alleged incident. After reviewing the additional evidence developed during our investigation, the prosecutor determined the State could no longer meet its burden of proof.

The dismissal specifically noted that the asserted defense, combined with the supplemental witness statements gathered through our investigation, created an insurmountable hurdle to proceeding with prosecution.

Why This Matters

Witnesses often hold key details that are overlooked in initial reports. Thorough, strategic interviews can uncover critical facts, clarify inconsistencies, and present a more complete picture of what truly occurred.

This case demonstrates the power of professional investigative work. When witnesses are carefully identified, located, and properly interviewed, the truth has a way of coming to light.

At Negen’s Investigative Services, we understand that every detail matters — and every witness deserves to be heard.
